While well-known as one of Australia’s most colourful and successful young entrepreneurs, Aussie Vineyards owner Craig Gore is less recognised in the U.S., but he is making a name for himself in racing and wine circles stateside.
Gore has been at the forefront of a number of successful ventures in Australia spanning a diverse range of industries, including, of course, wine exports. In addition to Aussie Vineyards, Gore is the founder of the Atkinson Gore Group of Companies that includes businesses in the financial sector, real estate, construction, agri-business, entertainment, aviation and motor racing. The company’s core focus is Wright Patton Shakespeare (WPS) Financial Services that provides comprehensive financial planning services to middle-income Australian families.
His racing interests include ownership of a V8 Supercar Team, WPS Racing, and co-ownership of Team Australia in the Champ Car World Series and NASCAR. The passion, precision and competitive edge personify the Gore approach to life and business – some would say the volume as well.
Team Australia and Aussie Vineyards have proved to be formidable partners in developing a successful racing team while helping to provide visibility and marketing support for the introduction of Aussie Vineyards to the U.S. According to Gore, his primary interest is not necessarily in racing, wine or any other of his wide range of industry segments, but in building brands and creating markets in Australia, the United States and worldwide.
Says Duncan Shaw, Aussie Vineyards U.S. president, “Craig’s vision and work ethic are legendary. ‘Gorey’ is an irresistible force – he entertains no small ideas and indulges no thoughts of failure.”
Gore lives on the Gold Coast in Queensland with his wife and two children but is frequently jet setting across the globe in his own plane or helicopter to promote his many business interests. He might be found tasting Aussie Vineyards’ latest introduction, sitting trackside at a NASCAR race or overseeing his considerable real estate portfolio. In all scenarios, however, he has an eye on cross-promoting his businesses and expanding his empire.
